National Small Business Conference
Why we were there
Tactical Edge participated in the National Small Business Conference to engage with organizations navigating the complexity of government contracting. For many small businesses, responding to government bids represents a significant opportunity - but also a resource-intensive challenge.
Our focus was on sharing how AI can support these efforts practically - not through automation hype, but through tools that assist human-led work, improve accuracy, and help teams respond more effectively to opportunities.
What we presented
We introduced Projectory - an AI-powered platform designed to support proposal and RFP response workflows. Projectory assists teams throughout the bid process: from understanding requirements and structuring responses to reviewing drafts and ensuring compliance.
The emphasis was on AI as a collaborator, not a replacement. Projectory is built to augment human expertise, helping small teams compete more effectively without sacrificing the judgment and accountability that government contracting requires.
Topics we discussed
- AI-assisted proposal drafting and review
- Structuring RFP requirements effectively
- Reducing manual effort in bid responses
- Maintaining compliance and control
- Responsible AI use in regulated environments
What we focused on
Small businesses face real constraints when responding to government bids: limited time, complex requirements, and the need to produce high-quality documentation under pressure. Many teams spend significant effort on administrative work that could be streamlined.
Our conversations focused on how AI can address these challenges - improving speed and consistency in proposal development without removing human accountability. The goal is to help teams do more with the resources they have, while maintaining the quality and compliance standards that contracts demand.
Why it matters
Government contracting is becoming more competitive, and documentation complexity continues to increase. Small businesses that can respond efficiently and effectively have a real advantage - but many struggle to keep pace with larger, better-resourced competitors.
AI systems that fit into real workflows - that assist rather than replace, that maintain accountability rather than obscure it - can help level the playing field. This is the opportunity we see, and it's why events like this matter to the work we do.
