Why we're going
SOF Week is the premier gathering for the special operations community — bringing together operators, program offices, technologists, and defense industry partners to share what's working, what's next, and what the force actually needs.
Balaji T. Iyer and the Tactical Edge team will be in Tampa to connect with the operators and leaders driving AI adoption in the most demanding operational environments on the planet. Our focus is edge-native AI: systems that work when the network doesn't, that support decisions in seconds not minutes, and that stay within the classification boundary.
If you're attending SOF Week 2026, we'd love to connect.
What we're talking about
- AI at the tactical edge for special operations forces
- Autonomous decision support in denied and degraded environments
- DRAIDIS: edge-native intelligence from squad to command post
- Sensor fusion and real-time threat prioritization
- Counter-UAS and forward base security applications
- Explainable AI for DoD compliance and operational trust
DRAIDIS at the edge
We'll be sharing early access to DRAIDIS — our Distributed Real-time AI Decision Intelligence System — a family of edge-native platforms designed specifically for SOF and tactical environments. DRAIDIS operates fully offline, delivers sub-millisecond inference, and scales from a 5 kg backpack system at the squad level to a command post platform capable of running 405B-parameter models.
If your program is evaluating AI decision support for DDIL environments, counter-UAS, route clearance, forward base security, or tactical ISR, we'd welcome a conversation in Tampa.
