Broughton Partners

Consolidating data assets in using cloud-native services and build an enterprise-ready analytics and machine learning data platform.

Customer profile

Broughton Partners is a leader in proprietary mass tort case acquisition platforms. They are on a mission to connect law firms with qualified claimants who are seeking legal representation after suffering an injury or injustice.

The Challenge

Broughton Partners was struggling to extract insights from their disparate data silos and the ability to answer business questions such as, ROI on a recent marketing campaign. They lacked a centralized data strategy which hampered their ability to leverage advanced analytics and machine learning. To address these issues, Broughton Partners was looking for a partner to define and execute a cloud-first strategy and improve visibility into business KPIs by leveraging their data effectively. With the insights generated from data, Broughton Partners can invest in the highest ROI campaigns, understand the market and customer needs better, save costs, and optimize their operations efficiently.

The Solution

Tactical Edge AI worked with the customer to consolidate their data assets in using cloud-native services and build an enterprise-ready analytics and machine learning data platform. The entire engagement was delivered in three phases. Infrastructure Platform as a Service (iPaaS): We built the platform for scale from day one, leveraging serverless and managed services, and automated every aspect of building and deploying infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation. As a result, now they can stand up the entire infrastructure in under 10-mins, and the data can be accessed in one place, instead of a dozen disparate sources spanning across Salesforce, Paycor, Formsite, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Bing, and Verizon Media within AWS services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon RDS. Data Pipeline as a Service (dPaaS): We built a data pipeline and data ingest workflows that allows Broughton Partners to ingest new data in real-time based on event triggers, saving tens of thousands of dollars annually on unnecessary 3rd party licensing fees. We used Amazon AppFlow to ingest data from multiple sources. Data Analytics Platform as a Service (aPaas): We assisted a bake-off with all the leading data warehousing platforms to identify fit to match the specific needs of Broughton Partners. We helped to build a rapid proof-of-concept using cloud-native tools and Snowflake on AWS. We identified a path forward by quantifying the benefits using concrete data ranging from time to value, operational overhead, performance, scalability, cost, and manageability. We stood up a data analytics platform-as-a-service that can be seamlessly connected to any data visualization tools. Data Visualization Platform as a Service (vPaaS): The data visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik are configured to connect to the Data Analytics Platform and pull data directly, and refresh dashboards in real-time.
