The Challenge

HÖRMANN Digital sought to test a retrofit solution to enable predictive maintenance of automated warehouse facilities. With diverse machinery and equipment in use at different test locations, the goal was to deliver a proof of concept that could identify and address potential issues before they caused downtime. HÖRMANN needed an advanced, scalable system that could seamlessly integrate with its existing infrastructure to predict failures and enhance operational efficiency.

The Solution

Tactical Edge supported HÖRMANN Digital to deploy AWS’s MONITRON system, an end-to-end predictive maintenance solution, in two large-scale Proof of Concepts (POCs). MONITRON leverages AI and IoT sensors to monitor equipment for potential failures, providing real-time alerts for preventive maintenance. The system was integrated across key machinery to ensure early detection of anomalies, minimizing unplanned downtime.
